Richard Barre is the author of four crime novels to date:
- The Innocents (1995), multiple-award nominee and recipient of the Shamus Award for best first PI novel of 1995.
- Bearing Secrets (1996)
- The Ghosts of Morning (1998), nominated for a Dilys Award
- Blackheart Highway (1999).
Rich was born in Los Angeles and raised in California.
Prior to quitting his "day job" to write full time, he was a
copywriter and creative director at his own advertising agency,
Barre Advertising, in Santa Barbara. He is also a travel writer and editor.
He lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, Susan.
Rich is currently at work on a stand-alone suspense novel and
his next in the Wil Hardesty crime novel series, tentatively
titled Burning Moon.
